Black Christian Faith Leaders across the country are uniting our voices to call for a Ceasefire in Gaza! As we continue to grieve the loss of 1,400 Israelis killed by Hamas on October 7th and the more than 7,000 Palestinians, including over 3,000 children, killed in the Israel-Hamas conflict, we join faith leaders across many traditions calling for Immediate Deescalation, Humanitarian Assistance for Palestinians, Release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and No War in the Middle East.
We have a unique opportunity to speak peace in a violent world! Will you join us by signing this petition? We hope to take an ad out in a national newspaper in the week to come to bear public witness for peace, justice and life!
"For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live.” ~ Ezekiel 18:32
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." ~ Matthew 5:9

The AME Ministerial Alliance of New York and Vicinity was born out of the historic Preacher’s Meeting, a group organized to seek the spiritual growth of its members, give counsel and advice on governmental issues concerning the churches and to discuss ways to advance the AME Church and the gospel.
Since those early years the Alliance continues to focus on the spiritual growth of its members as well as lending support to one another in areas of ministry including issues of faith and religion. Most recently, the Alliance has reconnected with the legacy of the founder of the AME Denomination, Richard Allen, recognizing the need to operate as a voice on behalf of the people to the members of government, providing information to help elevate the communities served and to act on their moral, economic, social and political concerns.
The Alliance represents the 51 congregations in the five Boroughs of New York City, Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as Westchester County.
Past activities include voter education and registration, political awareness, organizing rallies in Washington DC and Albany, information on managing personal finances and the finances of the church. We have hosted a local candidate’s forums and a virtual panel discussion around the political health of the communities we serve.
We also plan opportunities for corperate worship during special days.
