Rev Omotayo Christine Cole Cineus, (pronounced O MO TIE O) is the proud pastor of Salem AME Roslyn, “the small church with the big spirit!!” Rev “O” or Rev “OC3”, (as she is sometimes called) gifts and achievements include being the mother of 3 (Channing 21, Chase 16 and bonus baby Jasoliel 30), membership in various organizations and her 30 year career as an educator.
Rev Omotayo, under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Floyd Flake and her trailblazing Soror, Pastor Elaine Flake at the Greater Allen Cathedral, began her road to ordination in June 2018. By May 2021, from the recommendation of Presiding Elder Jo an Owings, deacon elect Omotayo was given her first charge, Salem AME Roslyn by retired Bishop Gregory Ingram. After the COVID wait, on December 13, 2021 Omotayo became Rev Omotayo Cole Cineus under the leadership of Bishop Julius McAllister. As God would have it, the following May 2022 under the seven hands of elders (including her own Pastor Rev Elaine Flake and mentor Rev Stephen Michael Lewis) she received her ordination as Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Pastor Omotayo recalls when the journey began being told by Rev Elaine “God will redeem the time” and indeed God has done just that. Rev Omotayo is grateful for it all.
Rev Omotayo is humbled and thankful for the privilege to serve the AME connectional and the ministers of the New York Ministerial Alliance.
